More Idaho Fun

'

We can't go home without going on a fun hike. My parents live in such a beautiful area that I love to take the kids up in the mountains. So one morning we went on a 15 min hike and then had lunch. It was the perfect length for the kids. This year I even let them put their feet in the water!

We found this great big flat rock to sit on while we ate our lunch. It was in the shade, had ants crawling on it and had a tree growing sideways that was laying on it!!

This year Miss T was brave and tried milk straight from the cow warm and all!! I'm suprised she still is drinking milk after that. She did pull a great face after she tried it.

The kids love taking walks around the farm. Here they got up on the fence to see the sheep and it scared the poor sheep to death. They all ran inside the shed so my dad had to go in and get them out so the kids could see them!! I love this picture! Notice my nephew in pink sweats to the right. Those sweats have been well used over the years!! That is what we use to wear to the barn to go feed calves.... Pink sweats are the best!!!

Here is proof that all my kids went inside the stinky and poopy barn. As you can tell "J" keep saying ohh it stinks like cow poop!! and yes he was right. It did smell but its so good for my city kids to smell that every year!

Here "T' is taking her turn milking the cow. she was very nervous at first and then after her boy cousin did it she thought she better try too!! She was pretty proud when she got milk to come out! It is harder then everyone thinks!

It wouldn't be a Kunz reunion without pictures. After having my Dad move the trailer a couple of time we finally got it ready and then the lighting was bad but at least we got a cute picture! Look how big my family is and I must say everytime we get together we know how to have a lot of fun!!! I have a great family!

More of our trip.

Here are some more highlights of our trip home....

Mom had a great idea this year, to put together humanitarian packets. So each of us brought some supplies and then we all put them together to make a couple packets. The kids had a great time doing this.

This is after the parade. Dad's old tractor and trailer was in the parade so when he got it home we of course all had to ride on it!!!
After the parade we were driving home and I look over and there is my Dad driving down the old highway about 15 miles an hour if that.... on his bouncy seat old tractor. It was so cute so we turned off and waited and waited for Dad to come by so we could wave and take a picture!

Here's my boys during the parade. It was so nice to have Ty with us for the weekend. he came right at the last minute. He has been working so hard that it was a good break for him and for us!

This picture I missed the exciting part but.... my brother in law started climbing up the ladder and lost his grip and fell down with his son right behind him. I've never seen his son move so fast out of the way. He jumped off that ladder pretty fast!

In the morning it was cold so Dad got a hose from the barn and ran warm water onto the slide.
In the afternoon it was the perfect temperature.

Heres my big daddy going down the slide. After going I'm not sure he could walk the rest of the week because of his bad hip but..... he wasn't about to miss the fun!

Even my mama decided to make a run for it!! It was so funny. We love when my mom gets laughing cause then we all start laughing.

The girls had so much fun on the slide. It was a hit this year!
Thanks mom n dad for the fun day!

Little buddy was loving it there too. They had a blow up bounce basketball hoop. He couldn't get enough of it!

Trip Home

We had a great time going home and I have way to many pictures so I thought I would highlight a couple of things.....

The kids loved feeing the horse oats. T started laughing so hard cause it tickled her hand.

4-wheeler rides is also a big hit. Luckily we have a couple roads that lead to our fields that we can take the kids on a ride down. Thats the best part of living in the country we ride 4-wheelers on the roads.

We got the kids to go out and feed the baby calves. This calf is only a couple of days old. I think i didn't realize how lucky I was to live on a farm.

We went on lots of walk down to the barnyard to see the animals and to smell that fresh air. My favorite was every time we went outside my little boy would say, "eww it smells like cow poop."
Yes I have city kids for sure!!!
this is just the start so I will have to post more when I get down going through all my pictures!

We are heading tomorrow to Idaho!!! The kids are looking forward to a fun couple of weeks with cousins and lots of playing!
Wish me luck 2 weeks with out a husband and driving 14 hours with 3 kids by myself!! Should be lots of fun!

We're heading to my in laws first for a couple of days of swimming and playing with cousins...

The kids love driving the little 4-wheeler. They drive it way to fast and it makes me nervous. Taylee did run into the garage last year hopefully they are a little safer this year!

Then we are heading home.... These mountains are beatuiful and everytime I drive into the valley I am in awe at the beauty.

Here is to another year of great watersliding. this year we are getting a little bigger one. Hopefully no one gets hurt this year. But can't wait to see what kind of craziness we do this year!!!
It may take me a couple of weeks to get things posted!!! Idaho here we come!

Happy Birthday!!

It seems we have lots of birthday's right at the same time. We were celebrating one right after another. So we had a couple of parties already and one more to go!! It was 5 years ago that my little girl was born. When she was born she didn't really cry so the Dr's did some tests on her lungs to make sure she was ok. Little did we know that she just didn't like to cry!! She was the best baby ever. Went right to sleep never really cried and was always happy!! I can't believe that she is so old now! She is heading off to Kindergarten next year.
She is so kind and loving and her smile melts our hearts. She loves playing with her brother and sister. She wants to be so big and take care of her little brother, like get him out of the crib, change his diaper and change his clothes. Little does she know that he is just about as big as her!

Her first party was with our neighborhood. She wanted a heart shaped cake with pink frosting. We have such great neighbors and we like to have parties together!!

She has a great little friend that lives in our neighborhood. They love playing outside together in the evening before dinner. This was at one of her parties so I had to put it on because they look so cute together. We are lucky to have them live close to us.

Here she is on her b-day. She had a great day. She went to school that morning then she went to dance and we had some friends come over for dinner. She had a fun day! Happy Birthday to our princess. We are so glad she is in our family! She is full of energy and love! She is such a sweetheart and we love her!

Memorial Fun!!

We were suppose to go to Idaho to see our family but.... work and sickness came up so we ended staying home. On Friday evening we got a call from my brother, Phil, saying they wanted to come and see us since we weren't going to Boise so.... they drove and drove and drove and finally got here early Saturday morning!!! (Now he knows what I go through every time I drive home!)

We had a fun time with his family! Phil had never been to here so we tried to show him the nice and bad side!!!

Here are some highlights of the weekend!

We went to the temple and walked around in the rain!! We've learned that the rain can't stop us from doing things. Good thing we have umbrellas to keep us dry! It's always nice to walk around the temple. Its so beautiful and peaceful.

My pictures are out of order but... right as they were heading out of town we went to Multanomah Falls. We walked up to the bridge and got a little wet from the mist. The boys weren't sure about that!! Phil's boy had to walk the whole way up there so he got his exercise!! My boy walked most of the way too! What troopers! As a family we haven't been there for awhile so it was fun to see it again and go on a little walk!

It got nice long enough for the kids to go outside and play... but they came back in very muddy!! Thats why I am very glad we have tile in our house and not a lot of carpet!!It makes cleaning the mud so much easier. Tay has found it so fun to see how many different ways she can go down the slide.

This little boy is a true Idahoan... he doesn't know how to recycle or like it!!! He emptied out my sack of recyclables into my garbage!! Every time he saw it sitting there he would empty it into the garbage. It was so funny and cute!!!

We took the kids to OMSI. He was a trooper there. He was happy as long as he played with the flying balls. That kept his busy for awhile!!

The girls loved the water table and could have played there all day. The carried water from one table to the other table. Its amazing how much fun they can have with water!

Even little brother had lots of fun in the water this time. He usually is scared of getting wet but loved it!! I think its time we go to the museum more often.
We went out to eat at our favorite place to take family that come into town, a Mediterranean place. We also played games and rode bikes and played with bubbles out front! It was a fun weekend. We were sad that we couldn't go spend time with our family so we were happy some came to see us!!!
Thanks for the fun weekend!

My Mamasita

Happy Birthday to my Mother!!!!

My mamasita is the Best!! She has taught us so much..
She has to be a saint to have 10 kids. She still invites us home sometimes!! (Well actually she doesn't really like it when the boys come home only the girls!!) She has taught us how to have a good time as a family. When all of us kids get together we party until we drop. We eat lots of food, play lots of fun games and laugh way to much. She is the best at waterfights. Our best waterfight was in the house and outside then got back in the house. It looked like the house had flooded and she was still laughing!! She's a good sport.
She loves to do crafts with the kids and bake cookies. Whenever the kids go home thats the first thing they ask to do with Granny is to make sugar cookies!!
My mom has taught us how important the Gospel is in our lives and has shown us by example too.
We wish we could have been at home to celebrate but I guess singing on the phone will have to do this year!! Happy Birthday mom! We love you you're the best!

My mom is lucky to share a birthday with her grandson, Daxton. This makes for a special day for our family.

Daxton would have been 3! What a cutie pie he is. By him coming to Earth it has taught our family how precious life is. We have learned from his great parents on how to turn to the Lord and really search for help. I have learned more about the atonement and how the Lord can truly bless us and help us understand questions.
We love you Daxton, Doug n Brit and girls!
