Yanni's visit

My friend, Yanni, came to visit me for the week. I had never seen her little girl. She had her about a week after we moved from DC. She also has never seen my baby so it was a well needed visit. Since she moved to California this summer we decided that we needed to get together.
The girls had so much fun playing together. I think Yanni and I had more fun than the kids did. We played outside a lot and I showed her around. We shopped way to much. She actually was successful and got me to buy some clothes. Way more than I think I've ever bought in my life!! We actually went to the mall 2 nights in a row. The first night we had way to much fun and stayed in the store until they finally had to kick us out! Tyler was so nice while we were out and put the kids to bed for us, he did it even with a broken foot!! What a great husband.
Here are a few pictures of our great week!

It was Yanni's b-day a couple of days before she came so we made her a b-day cake and sang to her.

Here is little Norah. She was so much fun to have in our home. She just wanted to be a big girl like my girls. She was so cute!! We are so glad we finally got to meet her

Here are the girls at the zoo. The kids loved the zoo and it was such a beautiful day. I'm glad Tay only had a half day of school so we got to take her with us.
Thanks Yanni for coming I can't wait until we get together again. It was such a sad day as we took her back the airport. We had way to much fun with you!!

Our baby boy

I wanted to post some pictures of my baby soon to be big boy! He is so funny and is so fun to have in our home. I can't believe that he is getting so big. He is crawling everywhere. His favorite place to crawl is up the stairs. When he sees me running towards him he goes up the stairs faster as he is laughing. When he wakes up from his naps his first thing he does is give me a big kiss and a hug. I love his wet juicy kisses and his big smile and big blue eyes.

He loves to smile when he sees the camera but closes his eyes right as I take the picture so that he doesn't see the flash. I guess that is because he is to use to me taking pictures of him. My girls think its so funny so they love to take more and more pictures.

I love these PJS. Our friends from back east sent them to him.. Thanks Becky! They are so cute and we love them. He wore them to the bus stop the other morning and they were the laugh of all the little kids there! We sure think he's fun and glad that we have a boy in the house to mess things up a little!! He does have a great LOUD voice and the likes to scream a lot. So we are hoping that soon he will get over that!!

We have had a great week. We went to Bend over Labor Day weekend. Ty's family flew in from Arizona and Missouri and then the rest drove from Boise. We stayed there in a house and mostly just hung out. The kids loved seeing their cousins and had so much fun. They were all sad as we drove home. My kids asked and asked to go back to see Grandma and Grandpa.
We were lucky though to see Ty's sister for awhile before they flew home. Then his brother came and stayed with us for the rest of the week. The kids now don't know what to do with their time. They had so much fun with their cousins. We took them to the zoo and downtown to see the great people of the city!! We ate a lot and hung out a lot. It was so fun to have family here with us for awhile. The hardest part is seeing them leave knowing that you have to go home to a quieter home and back to normal life.
Thanks Trent n Devri for staying longer and for hanging out with us and letting us drag you around. We had a great time with you guys!

First Day of school

Where has the last 6 years gone... I can't believe that I have a first grader. She was so excited to go. I love that her backpack is almost bigger than her, but when looking for a backpack she insisted that we get this one. We went to a new school this year and when we got there she realized that she didn't know anyone so she wasn't to excited about staying. After leaving her it was a quiet day at our house. Addie loves playing with her and missed her all day. It is nice having a 6 year old in the house. She has been helping out so much since Tyler hurt his foot. So I missed her help all day!
When she came off the bus with her smiling face it was so fun to see her. I was glad to know that she had a great first day!

A Nice Break

Yesterday was a GREAT Day!!! My friend that use to live by us drove about an hour and let me get out of the house. She offered or told me I had to leave and to get away for a little while. She kept all three of my kids and came to my house! I got to go downtown and go to lunch with Tyler and then I walked around the mall thinking that I would buy some new clothes.... but no suprise I came home empty handed!!
Thanks Jennis I owe you big time. The kids had so much fun and it was a great break from the crazy couple of months that I've had! Its always nice to have good friends!
I now feel like I can conquer the world with my new attitude and energy! That is why today I canned peaches. My kids love canned peaches and are so excited to eat them!
I will have to post pictures later!

Water slide

When we were little my brothers and sisters use to get our old metal slide, put a hose of water on it and get our little wading pool and slide into it. We thought it was great fun. We had made our own water slide. We did get hurt a couple of times but we loved it. So I thought it would be fun to have the girls try it. The first couple of times they kept missing the pool but then they got it and couldn't stop trying it. They had so much fun.

Summer Events

Here are some fun things that we have done this summer!

My girls love to play outside so while riding bikes, playing basketball we also like to draw with chalk in our drive way! Taylee drew a rainbow and our neighbors house! It was fun and very colorful!

Here's our new favorite thing to do at nights. We like to go and eat Popsicles. Jackson is addicted to them. He got his first taste while at my moms in Idaho. Brit fed him one and has loved them ever since. He really owes you Brit for giving him one! He screams so loud whenever he sees his sisters eating them and he isn't.

The girls blew up our little swimming pool that we bought while back east and swam in it yesterday. they thought it was so much fun to splash around and get each other wet. Then I came up with a great idea to use the slide and swimming pool together.. I will show a video of that at the end!

We went to the Lake one day and the girls got to play in the water. We ended up going to the wrong part of the lake and it wasn't that clean and the girls weren't a huge fan but they did have fun. We went to the good lake park and they had a blast. they are to use to having nice pools so when Tay walked into the lake she freaked out cause there was something nasty on the bottom. I had to inform her that was mud!!! My poor girls are to use to living in the city.
