My Mamasita

Happy Birthday to my Mother!!!!















My mamasita is the Best!! She has taught us so much..
She has to be a saint to have 10 kids. She still invites us home sometimes!! (Well actually she doesn't really like it when the boys come home only the girls!!) She has taught us how to have a good time as a family. When all of us kids get together we party until we drop. We eat lots of food, play lots of fun games and laugh way to much. She is the best at waterfights. Our best waterfight was in the house and outside then got back in the house. It looked like the house had flooded and she was still laughing!! She's a good sport.
She loves to do crafts with the kids and bake cookies. Whenever the kids go home thats the first thing they ask to do with Granny is to make sugar cookies!!
My mom has taught us how important the Gospel is in our lives and has shown us by example too.
We wish we could have been at home to celebrate but I guess singing on the phone will have to do this year!! Happy Birthday mom! We love you you're the best!


My mom is lucky to share a birthday with her grandson, Daxton. This makes for a special day for our family.

Daxton would have been 3! What a cutie pie he is. By him coming to Earth it has taught our family how precious life is. We have learned from his great parents on how to turn to the Lord and really search for help. I have learned more about the atonement and how the Lord can truly bless us and help us understand questions.

We love you Daxton, Doug n Brit and girls!

Fun b-day

Our little misses had a great b-day! We partied for 3 days. We had a family party, school party, a neighborhood party and then we topped it off with a fun cousin party!!

What a weekend!!!!

From her G. and Granny she got a Zhu Zhu pet and we gave her a house that the pet can go in. They are lots better than a real hampster.

She loves anything if it has a peace sign on it. Which I don't think shes really old enough to be wearing the "in style" of clothes. I still want to be buying her little kids clothes!!

She got money from her G&G so she went to Build a bear and got a peace bear!! Maybe she will be sleeping with that instead of her ragged little cat!! I kept trying to talk her into spending some of her money somewhere else instead of on the bear but it was so worth it once I saw how much fun she was having when she got it!!

That morning she got her first present from her sister.... fingernail polish and of course she loved it. anything that has to do with makeup or nails anything girly they both love!!!!

Finally some Sun!!

We've had a great week of sun and it was well needed. I was getting a little tired of the rain!
So we played extra hard this weekend. We pulled out the summer clothes even though our white legs will blind everyone!!
We went on bike rides, played in the sprinkler, pulled out the slip n slide and have played outside way to late each night. We can't wait for another month for school to be out so we don't have to go to bed so early!!!
Its amazing what a little sun can do to an attitude!! It seems everyones a little nicer or more tired! and seems to smile a little more!! I LOVE SUMMER!!!















My kids can't get enough of the swingset. It was the first thing we bought when we moved into our house and the best thing!!! I love sending the kids outside to play in the back while I make dinner or while I try to clean the house!!






















Little buddy is old enough this year to enjoy the slip n slide! Even if he does just run up and down on it!













Even though it was warm the water was still really cold!! But they loved getting a little water in their faces!!

We've been doing some yard work and he thinks he has to help too. I've raked up the pile of leaves twice and he keeps picking them up with his shovel and throwing them everywhere!! I caught him in the action! Thats why his face is so cute! At least he wants to help me right!!

Hopefully this week will bring some warm weather so more yard work can get done and more sun on our white legs!!!

Tulip Festival

Last weekend we went to the tulip festival. It was a perfect day for an outing. We went early so that we didn't hit the crowd. The were fields of beautiful tulips. We couldn't get enough pictures. It was so nice and peaceful its always nice to get out of the city for awhile.














The kids were so good and loved to walk and see the different colors of tulips. Every color we saw it was their new favorite color!




























After looking at all the tulips we went on a little ride. It was so bumpy and I got to go with the kids! They had cut barrels out and put a chair in them then put some wheels on it! It was pretty sweet. The kids only liked it cause the barrels were painted like cows.
PS. The thing that was pulling the cow train was what tipped on Tyler's foot. So I was a little hesitant to go on it... but it drove us around without any accident!!

There was a tractor that each kid had to try sitting on the seat and driving.





















After seeing all these beautiful tulips I need to find somewhere in my yard to plant lots of tulips. They are so beautiful!!! Its a great way to start the spring off!!

Spring break :3

We headed to my parents on Monday and of course I think it snowed just for me!! I wanted to do all the fun winter stuff at my moms and we got to. The first day we were there we had lots on our to do list.....
snowmobiling, feed calves, ride the team of horses, ride the tractor, and ride the 4-wheeler. I think we fit all those in. Beware there are lots of pictures and I still have a couple more that I need to download on my computer!!




















Tay and Colt before they went on our ride in the fields. Tay didn't like it to much after we got done since colt thinks he needs to go fast and try to go on one ski when he's turning. Not good for a city girl that is scared of loud machines anyway!!



















My Dad was out for spring break too so we got to play with him and colt all week! There are some great perks for being a school teacher!!
















I wanted to show the kids how to feed calves since I did that all growing up. Luckily there was a new baby calf so we got to feed a bottle to him. At first they weren't sure but then they loved it!! When it started drooling all over and then wouldn't go back in the shed they were a little nervous but it didn't last long. It was fun for them to be up close and to pet it.























Our little buddy was in heaven while he was here. He just wanted his Grpa to take him on the tractor all day long. The kids soon found the horn and honked it the whole time while driving. We had to go on a tractor ride everyday.
Buddy now asks everyday when we can go to Gpa's to ride the tractor. Summer seems to be to long to wait to go up there!


















We got enough snow that we could take the team out in the field. This was our favorite thing to do when we were little. We'd go with our Grandpa and Dad to go help them feed the cows hay. We would raise sometimes to see how fast we could feed the calves so we could hang on the back of the sleigh and ski with our slick boots. This was a treat for us! When one of the horses of the team got sick we couldn't use the sleigh anymore. So my Dad now uses a tractor to feed the cows hay. A couple of years ago he got a new team and fixed the sled up. It is my favorite thing to do when we go home!!















How can you not be happy when we are riding behind two beautiful horses in the beautiful snow with my family!! My brother was so kind to come after work to drive the team with us, since my dads shoulder is in need of surgery. We did it 2 nights while we were there. It was so fun!
























The farm in the Spring is so muddy. I was glad that he brought his rain boots. Luckily we didn't have snow boots so I brought those instead and they worked great! His uncle kept telling him to jump in the puddles. Little did he know that they aren't the same puddles we have at home. These puddles have a little poop mixed in them!!! Nothing like pure fun right!
















While we were there one of the lambs had a little baby. We had gone to see the lambs that afternoon then when we went out later that night there was a little baby. It had just been born and it was so cute!!! We didn't have lambs growing up but my parents have gotten them within the last 5 years. They are pretty cute when they are little!














If you go to the country you have to be real cowgirls and cowboys right!!! Good thing that there are dressups for the kids to use!!
What a fun week we had together as a family! Can't wait to see all our family again in the summer. Tyler and I always say we have the best families and I think its true. We love spending time with both our families and can't wait to see them this summer!

Part 2:Spring Break

While we were in Idaho we had a baby shower for my sister in law. It turned out great! My mom and I made a cute diaper cake. I've never made one before so with my moms help I knew we could do it! It was fun putting it all together and I think it turned out great!
Even if we did have to go 1 hour to get ribbon for it! My parents live out in the middle of no where so we drove to Rexburg for some pretty ribbon and it was so worth it just ask my dad!!

Here's my mama, sisters and sis's in laws that were at the shower. We are missing 2 of the sisters.

It was a lot of fun to be together with most of my family. We missed my 2 brothers and their families(well actually we really didn't miss Doug and Phil just their families)

If u can't tell who is who.... the two in the back with black on and the one in the front r my sisters, my two sis in laws are the ones on the top in white.

After a great shower we couldn't stop partying so ... Colt pulled out his new WII game...Just Dance. If you haven't played you really should. Its so funny. 4 people play against each other and copy a dancer on the TV to see who dances the best. though I don't think it really works. sorry to tell you Colt you aren't the best dancer in the family. My Daddy even got 1st. Tay loved playing this game. That's what she had Colt doing for 3 mornings while we were there!

First Part of a week of fun!

We just got back from our Spring break. It was a week full of fun! We got to see both my family and Ty's.
Here is a highlight of the first part of our trip.















Ty's sister was in town and we got to see her and her family. Our kids play so well together and they love spending time with her kids. They only got to see each other for 2 days and it wasn't enough!














It was such a beautiful weekend and we got to spend a lot of time outside and on the tramp and playground. Grandpa is such a good sport and loves playing with the kids!




















We got to roast hot dogs and marshmellows the kids loved it! Its always fun to have nice weather so that we can do this. We had a great weekend with some of our cousins and can't wait until summer to see them again.

While we were there we got to see my brothers new baby. He is so cute and little. All my kids loved him. He is so little and precious. Thanks Philly for letting us come and spend the morning with you!

We had a great time over the weekend. Tyler got to go with me for the weekend and then he flew home while I traveled up to my parents house. It was so fun seeing Tylers family.

The first part of our Spring Break was full of fun!
